Yes, still alive. Yes, I still have tons of unfinished documents on my harddrive, and no, I never intend to stop writing Tolkien, I just go on really long breaks. I am updating and re-editing everything in the verse. These new versions are posted at river_home. I will continue posting any new fic on this journal, but eventually everything will be on that comm as it is easier for me to not keep logging out of my main journal, rivlee.

I also have tenative plans for a whole new fic verse/series set in Gondolin with a whole different history/cast of characters, etc. Those stories will be posted at river_home so as not to confuse them with the verse here.

I hope anyone and everyone, if you're sitll out there, is doing well!

Since red_ajah demanded a draft at the very least upon reading of my re-haul on a lotr fic once again, here it is below. I just am getting so frustrated with myself. I want to write, have plans to, get pretty far, and then just hit a wall every single time.

Therefore, to prove that no, I was not lying about the whole writing bit, here's an unfinished draft version of the next "Sleeping with Ghosts" story:

Just letting everyone know that I have, finally, started writing again. Much like the very long break between chapters in "Lullaby" I just had to take a huge step away for a bit. I'm still working on improving my writing, re-hauling the fic, and maybe moving some things over to AO3. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm also debating on seeding this journal out and going to a fic-comm, which will make it easier for me to post and not have to constantly log-out/log-in with my personal lj name. Would people be cool with that, those of you still reading?

And finally, speaking of fic, is there anything, anyone wants to desperately read in the coming weeks? I am in the middle of a move, but I need something to take my mind off all the stress in live, and fic seems to be doing it? Just drop a line and let me know.
